Team Chicago Academy-2005 Premier Girls team took home first place hardware at the Chicago Development Showcase over Labor Day weekend. The 2005 Premier girls competed in the top division of the U13s. The team opened the tournament with a dominating 5-0 win over Kenosha Crew. In game two, Team Chicago beat Hoffman United 4-2. In the final game of pool play, Team Chicago tied host Chicago City 1-1 earning the top seed in Sunday’s Final.

The final featured a rematch with Hoffman United. Team Chicago prevailed in a physical game getting the go-ahead goal in the final minutes winning 3-2. For the weekend, scoring came from a variety of sources as 2005 Premier scored 13 goals from 9 different players.
